National President to Visit Maine
The following is the schedule for our National President, Betty Morris, when she visits our great state:
9/23/02: (Conatct: Jo Bell 492-2511)
Her plane comes into Presque Isle Airport at 1:40pm. From there she will be taken by limo to the VFW Home in Caribou at 253 Van Buren Road for a short visit with members. Anyone not able to make the airport is welcome to meet us there. After her brief visit, we will be having a dinner with her at the Caribou Motor Inn at 6:30pm.

We will travel to District 2 and be the guests of the VFW Home in Lincoln. They will be serving a light lunch around noon.
She will then travel to Bangor and have Dinner at Miller's located at 427 Main Street, Bangor for supper around 6:30pm.
We are inviting ALL members to join us. VFW members are invited to be part of this Statewide visit. Please contact the individuals mentioned and let them know of your plans to join them.
President Betty Morris, will leave our state from Bangor International Airport on the 25th at 1:00pm.

Eligibility
Membership in the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall be limited to WIVES, WIDOWS, MOTHERS, FOSTER AND STEPMOTHERS (who have performed the duties of parent) GRANDMOTHERS, DAUGHTERS, FOSTER OR STEPDAUGHTERS (who attained the status prior to age sixteen (16) and for whom the duties of parents were performed), SISTERS, HALF SISTERS, FOSTER AND STEPSISTERS (who attained the status prior to age sixteen (16) of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
Members must be citizens of the United States and not less than sixteen (16) years old.
Women eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall be eligible for dual membership in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Junior Girls Unit members are . . .
Daughters, foster daughters, stepdaughters, granddaughters, sisters, half sisters, foster sisters, and stepsisters of members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, or men and women eligible for the VFW. They must be between the ages of 6 through 16.
